![]() ![]() Never mind the absurdity of releasing a console thats targetted spcifically at online games, but makes you pay to get Wifi connected. There is no excuse for this at all, its a blatent rip off, as every single 360 owner will absolutely need this for each controller, and thats a significant cost. However, the 360 makes you pay for a rechargeable pack. Though I'm not a big fan of rummbel at all and tend to switch it off for the most part anyway. But,that is something that will be rectified next year when all machines will come with rummble, and in the meantime its an expense we will have to pay. ![]() It was shame that the legal tussle Sony had, meant the original six axis didn't include rummble, and this was stupid issue of their own making. Gee mart - I do try and stay out of these trolling matches, but your comments are unbelievably stupid. I can't wait to see how it turns out with all 8 players, different cars, all the modes, and the whole city unlocked. Online mode is pretty fun with the 4 players in the demo, crashing into each other and going after the mini challenges is awesome. The coolest thing is that you never lose your place in the world from all of this, it's so seamless. A few taps of the dpad takes care of all of this too. If you have friends online and they're playing the demo as well they can jump right in from an invite or by themselves (if there are open spaces) or invite you to their games. If not you have the option of starting an online mode yourself which is usually populated in seconds afterwards. If there are games running there are 1-3 other people now driving in the map with you and voice chat is enabled. Three quick taps of the right direction on the dpad gets you online, yes it's really that quick. After that you can just smash your car up or search for all of the shortcuts and billboards to crash through. There are 3 demo events, a burning route, a stunt run, and a race. After that you're let loose to do anything you want within the confines of the demo map. #BURNOUT 3 TAKEDOWN XBOX DEMO PS2#So to conclude in my opinion this game is a "must have" for PS2 owners. When you get in the game you're given a beater car and sent off to drive through the repair. The only thing that bothered my in this game was the loading times and the enemy AI (thankfully only a little bit). One thing to remember this is an arcade style game, so don't expect any realism in driving your car. The graphics are accompanied by a fitting soundtrack, which makes you want to go faster and faster. Technically, from a PS2 perspective this game has great graphics, which do NOT fail (especially in single player mode) to give the sense of speed which makes this game such a joy to play. and I don't even really like racing games. Although I currently have a PS3, sometimes I still go back to play this game a little. The solo campaign was amazing as well providing challenge and various racing/crash modes (for example: normal race, time attack, road rage where you have to destroy your opponents by crushing them into walls/trafic.). ![]() Treat this as an indication on how fun the game was (splitscreen road rage rox). but that didn't matter because along with a few buddies I could play this game the whole day (over 100 races, 3 people, the loser gives up the controller) with only the three starting cars available and a single map to race on. When I started playing this game, I didn't have a memory card yet. Treat this This was the first game I got with my PS2, and one of the best I ever played on it.
